More about Breadbasket
“I grew up in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains in California, above the central valley – the nation’s agricultural breadbasket. While so much of the state is aesthetically stunning, the central valley is less so. It was always intriguing to me how so much agricultural productivity comes out the otherwise stark, dry landscapes of this area. “Breadbasket” depicts an everyday scene from that valley. The arches symbolize the hidden beauty of what comes from here, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.”
