Samantha Ward, a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico, cherished the high desert landscape while others yearned to leave. Her love for the region grew as she hiked and rode horses along the Rio Grande. With a Graphic Design degree from New Mexico State University, Samantha left computer-controlled art behind for her true passion: watercolor. Inspired by the timeless connection between horse and rider, she captures the essence of these majestic creatures with authenticity and believability. Samantha’s goal is to evoke awe and appreciation for the power and athleticism of horses in her viewers.
