A large part of Western Gallery’s mission is to help art collectors—both new and experienced—acquire artworks that enrich their lives and collections. To that end, Western Gallery is happy to offer several payment options for your fine art acquisition.
Offline Payments
If you’re not comfortable buying art a la cart via e-commerce, we understand. It’s kind of a new thing. But fear not! We’re just a phone call away at 512-693-8787. Or Facetime or Zoom are great, too. It’s our pleasure to chat with you, and of course we can discuss payment options over the phone, too, including Credit or Debit Cards, Wire Transfers, Venmo or PayPal.
Online Payments
Online payments with Western Gallery are easy and secure. We use best-in-class security tools, services and practices to maintain the highest possible level of e-commerce security.
Credit or Debit Card
Western Gallery processes Credit and Debit Card payments via Stripe, which is routinely audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1—the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry. Learn more about Stripe’s security practices here.
Digital Coins (BTC, ETH, DOGE, LTC)
In an effort to embrace new technologies and the new generation of art collectors, Western Gallery can accept payment in the form of Digital Coins, or cryptocurrency. When you place an order to be settled with a Digital Coin such as Bitcoin, Etherium, Dogecoin or Litecoin, your selected items will be held as “Payment Processing” for up to one hour. Meanwhile, a wallet address and QR code are immediately provided both on-screen and in an email to facilitate a true peer-to-peer transaction. Once the coin transaction has been verified as received, checkout is complete and you will receive your emailed receipt. If the Digital Coin transfer is not completed within one hour from checkout, the transaction will be cancelled and the items from your cart will be available to the public again.
Energy consumed in the mining and/or use of particular cryptocurrencies can be significant, and the decision to participate in the cryptoeconomy bears consideration. In an effort to tangibly offset the environmental impact of cryptocurrency energy consumption, Western Gallery will use 1% of each settled cryptocurrency transaction to plant trees ($1 = 1 tree) with the National Forest Foundation.
Buy Now, Pay Later – Klarna
Art can be expensive from a cash upfront point of view. Sometimes it can be preferable to acquire an artwork immediately and pay for it over a period of time. Western Gallery has partnered with Klarna to provide—when available—a zero-interest solution that splits an acquisition payment up into four equal parts, or a longer-term credit agreement with Klarna and/or their partners.
