Contemporary painter Erika Victor captures the essence of the West in her oil paintings. With roots in rural western Kansas, her work celebrates the desert landscape influenced by her childhood memories and explorations of Colorado and New Mexico. Focusing on color and shadow, Erika draws inspiration from her own travel photographs. While now living and working as an art teacher in New York City, she continues to combine her memories and emotions on canvas, finding unexpected connections between the bustling city and the vast desert.
