Rachel Saunders, a representational oil painter based in Denver, Colorado, explores the landscapes and non-human inhabitants of the American West. With a background in art history, she draws inspiration from her upbringing surrounded by traditional western scenery. After running her own decorative painting and mural company, Rachel returned to her true passion and embraced oil painting full time. She delves into the individual psychologies of her subjects, particularly horses, capturing their unique essence through a balance of strength and fragility. Rachel’s work has been recognized and exhibited nationwide.
