Rupert Chambers was born on the border a long 75 years ago. After a full career teaching and raising major gifts for nonprofit organizations he was reborn in 2015 as the photographer he had always wanted to be. His work has since been in juried shows from coast to coast and exhibitions in galleries, libraries and museums internationally.
Established in street photography and candid environmental portraiture of people in Mexico and Guatemala, his theme has always been that human dignity knows no limits. Now living this theme as part of the population especially vulnerable to the pandemic, he has found new inspiration in photographing Taos and northern New Mexico.
