Statement
“My primary focus when painting is the energy the land brings to me, not the actual depiction of the scene. I was raised working the land in Cerrillos, NM and I have a deep love for our southwest country. The energy of the colors, my loose application and the thickness or layering of the paint also inspires me. Most of my paintings are done on location in northern New Mexico.” – Peggy Trigg
