The Glass Mountains are a 24 mile long and between 6 and 15 mile wide range located in southwestern Texas in an area between Fort Stockton and Marathon. We were stopped for construction on Hwy 67 north east of Alpine and I had time to observe and sketch the mid-day light reflecting off clouds and casting shadows on the mountains and foreground with a few cows grazing.
