More about Mauve & Gray Southwest Design
I love the geometric patterns of rugs and textiles in the west and I have found that carving resembles weaving in so many ways. This work is inspired by Native American rug designs in the Southwest.
50 Layers of paint on a wood panel carved. Three colors coated on panel and carved to different depths to reveal colors. It took 4 hours to draw and 20 hours to carve.
Signed on the back. Ready to hang with wire in back.
