More about Acacia

Carved Acrylic Paint

Acacia trees grow very well in the desert and in the fall their bright yellow blossoms turn the entire tree into a vibrant spectacle. The yellow blossoms float in the air and eventually to the ground creating a beautiful yellow walkway all around them. This carving has so much dimension since all the blossoms were carved three times to get down to the yellow layer. This gives the work not only so much depth but really amazing shadow play when light crosses it from a window. It has 50 Layers of acrylic paint on a wooden panel and took about 40 hours to carve. The Acacia is a 20″ round with a wire on the back for easy hanging. Signed and branded on the back.

20 x 20 x 2″ Cradle mounted
