More about West Texas Starry Night, No. 2

The Permian Basin is mostly oil field and the stars are not as visible now because of increasing artificial light at night. Drilling goes on day and night and this drilling rig would have had quite a few lights burning. The stars are depicted in the colors they appear at night. They’re not as bright now but this is the way they are in my memory, looking through a mesquite bush toward the rig and the night sky.
