More about Boquillas

“Boquillas is a village on the Mexico side of the Rio Grande. A passport is required to cross the river and a row boat will take you across where it is a one mile walk or ride on a burro, horse or in a pickup to the village where there are two restaurants.” – Alice Leese

Matched with a custom handmade and gold-leafed frame by Mike Carroll of 16 Oaks frames in Christoval, Texas, in a design exclusively reserved for Leese. The frame’s curved carving on the inside and outside edges echoes the ever-present movement in Leese’s work.
